Pickup Cabin Protection Technologies

The driver and passenger cabin is the main object of protection when armoring a pickup truck. We use a comprehensive approach that includes several levels of security:

• Armored door panels — made of special ballistic steel Miilux or Armox with thickness from 4 to 6.5 mm depending on the protection class
• Multi-layer armored glass — composite construction of tempered glass and polycarbonate with thickness of 21-43 mm
• Anti-spall coating — special material on the inner surface of the cabin prevents the formation of secondary fragments
• Reinforced door assemblies — upgraded hinges can support armored doors weighing up to 120 kg each

Underbody and Critical Component Protection

The mine threat requires special attention to protecting the lower part of the vehicle. We install anti-mine protection for the cabin floor, as well as separate armored housings for the fuel tank, battery, and cooling system radiator. These elements often become targets during shelling, so their protection is critical for maintaining the vehicle's mobility.

Chassis Modernization

Installing armor protection significantly increases the vehicle's weight — sometimes by 500-800 kg. To ensure the pickup retains its driving qualities and handling, we necessarily upgrade the suspension and braking system. Reinforced springs or leaf springs, heavy-duty shock absorbers, as well as increased-efficiency brake discs and pads are installed. This guarantees safe operation of the armored pickup in any conditions.

Timeframes and Armoring Cost

The duration of work depends on the chosen protection level and project complexity. Basic pickup armoring takes 2-3 weeks, comprehensive protection with chassis modernization — up to 4-5 weeks.
